The team is preparing to launch a major update implementing OP_CAT functionality when strange events unfold.

Dr. CAT Enigma has vanished from her lab, leaving only her signature terminal window open with partial Bitcoin script commands.

Her beloved black cat "Script" has seemingly transformed into a bat, now flying around the lab.

At the same time, all references to "OP_CAT" in the codebase have been replaced with "OP_BAT".

Dr. Catherine "CAT" Enigma

  • Lead developer of OP_CAT

  • Last seen working late on Halloween

  • Known for her cryptic coding style and love of puzzle-based security

  • Has a black cat named "Script" who follows her everywhere, who likes to sneak off to nap by the full-length window on the 20th level of the lab

Professor Barry "BAT" Blackwood

  • Rival developer who believes OP_BAT would be superior

  • Suspiciously planning a "nocturnal creatures research" grant

  • Often seen lurking in the shadows of the server room

  • Secretly upset that Dr. Cat’s office is four levels higher than his, which is on the 19th level

  • Claims to have been conducting experiments with sound waves that affect both computers and animals

## Initial Incident Report

At approximately 23:45 UTC on Halloween night, our systems detected an anomalous
  series of events at Gravel Labs.
  Dr. Catherine "CAT" Enigma, lead developer of the OP_CAT implementation, 
    has vanished from her workspace under bizarre circumstances. 
  Professor Barry "BAT" Blackwood is also nowhere to be found.

### Timeline of Known Events:

23:29 - Dr. Enigma's last known keycard access to Lab 3 on the main development level  
23:43 - Unusual power fluctuation recorded in the main server room  
23:44 - All security cameras experience 30 seconds of interference  
23:45 - Dr. Enigma's terminal triggers a system-wide alert  
23:46 - Multiple reports of a bat flying through the development level  
23:47 - Mass code repository update replacing all instances of "CAT" with "BAT"

1. Dr. Enigma's workstation remains powered on, displaying a peculiar terminal window
2. Her black cat "Script" is nowhere to be found
